Been over here in Belarus Minsk for about a week now finishn up this training cycle before we leave for turkey on Monday. Training has been good over here, I’ve been feeling good and my weight has been great. Just gettn excited for next week, as I am going to battle for this world title that belongs to me. Weigh-in Thursday night compete on Friday can’t wait….til next post have a good day everyone!
World Championships – 1 week away!
Northwest Regional Training Center (NWRTC) is gearing up for a big week. The World Championships start next Monday with the Greco Roman Competition competing first from Sept. 12-14, then the Women’s Freestyle will start action Sept. 14 -16, and finally Men’s Freestyle will finish of the competition Sept. 16-18.
3 athletes that train out of the NWRTC in Corvallis will be competing in Istanbul next week. Nick Simmons will compete for the USA at 55kg on Sept 16, Israel Silva will compete for Mexico at 96kg on Sept. 17, and Heinrich Barnes will compete for South Africa at 66kg on Sept. 18.
There are also 2 other athletes from the Northwest competing next week that train elsewhere. Kelsey Campbell will compete in the Women’s Freestyle Competition for USA at 59kg on Sept 15, and Matt Gentry will compete for Canada at 74kg on Sept. 17.
